Enamel, alchemy of fire and glass as much as it is craft and art, is a rewarding and challenging technique, far from dead or lost as many would make us think.

"Traditional" vitreous enamelling is about controlling fire, not about letting the powerful and apparently unpredictable element of fire control the results. Since my personal aim is result-oriented, the translation of the images that form in my mind onto a precise physical form, my traditional decorative arts and crafts training and years of experience in enamelling workshops serves me well.
My work is not only about concept, since I strive to take into account aesthetic and decorative values, which are very important elements to me. For the rest, I will let my work speak for itself, because if I need to explain and justify it, I should perhaps have chosen a writing career instead.
